• Notes

  Three Johannes Opfermann were baptized in the time frame that would fit someone getting married circa 1757. From KB 1767-1825: #1 Baptized 15 Nov 1726 (img 441, church book page 161), child of Friedrich Opfermann. Confirmed 1741 at age 14 (img 517, church book page 309) [1741-14 = 1727) #2 Baptized 18 Feb 1732 (img 445, church book page 170), child of Hyronimus Opfermann. Confirmation records for 1743 to 1750 missing. No Niedenstein death record found. Merxhausen 1723-1740 death records missing. #3 Baptized 22 May 1736 (img 450, church book page 179), child of Hyronimus Opfermann. Confirmed 1751, born Mar 1736 (img 518, church book page 311) I have assumed #2 died prior to #3 being born since they both have the same father. A 21 May 1760 death record was found in KB 1653-1767 (img 560) for Johannes Opfermann, no age at death noted. This same record is found in KB-Abschrift 1653-1766 (img 603, page 474). A 20 Jun 1760 death record was found in KB 1653-1767 (img 648) for Johannes Opfermann, no age at death noted. This same record is NOT found in KB-Abschrift 1653-1766 (img 603, page 474). These 2 death records are identical, except for the dates. I used the 21 May 1760 death date. These death dates fits with regard to the 2nd marriage for Anna Martha Hillebrand on 27 Nov 1761. I have assumed this is the husband of Anna Martha Hillebrand. I could find no way to determine if Johannes, husband of Anna Martha Hillebrand, is Johannes #1 or #3. I reviewed all baptism records for Hyronimus, Friedrich, and Paul who I believe are brothers and all sons of "old" Johannes Opfermann. Since Friedrich and Hyronimus are brothers, "old" Johannes Opfermann is the grandfather of Johannes, husband of Anna Martha Hillebrand. ---
