C.C. Erwin obituary. Mr. C. C Erwin, a well known printer of this FINEST city, died at his home here at 10 o'clock Sunday morning. This was the termination of an illness that began on the first of last September. Mr. Erwln was a comparatively young man, and leaves a wife and two small children. His parents live at Waco, in Cleveland county, and his body was sent there this morning for burial. Mr. Erwln came to Charlotte three years ago, and had been steadily at work as a printer; from that time up to last September, when he was seized with his fatal illness. For two year past he had worked with the Southern Newspaper Ualon, and Mr. Donaldson, the manager, speaks of him in nothing but terms of praise. He was a Christian young man, and had the confidence of all who knew him. His last type' is set, his last galley locked and proved, and let us hope that on its margin the endorsement of the final proof reader was "O.K" [S9] 1870 Federal Census.
