    • LDS search Evangelische Kirche Birkenau (Kr. Heppenheim) (e.g. FHL #1340344) for Reisen church book records.
      --------
Birth date used from Lützelsachsen marriage record with Adam Klohr that states age at marriage as 21 1/2.
      --------
Lützelsachsen church book lists town is Reißen (Reissen), not Reisen. But since family often attended events I figured it must have been close by. Reisen is 7km from Lützelsachsen. Record also note Reißen in parish (pfarrei) Birkenau.

      -----------
In the book "The Old Otterbein Church story" by Paul Ellsworth Holdcraft (search surname Klohr) has a reference on page 94 to an Adam Klohr as part of an 1833 list of members. Church was located at Conway and Sharp Streets. No way to know if this is the same Adam Klohr, althought by naturalization datem it could have been him.
On page 128 of same book George Klohr is shown as being born to Adam & Catherine on Jan 28, 1834, baptised on Feb 13, 1834.
On page 133 of same book George Herman Klar is shown as being born to Adam & Catherine on May 25, 1840, baptised on Jun 24, 1840.
      -----------
      born 1810 in c1850, 1813 in c1860, 1806 in c1870, 1805 in c1880.

In the year of Christ 1827, on April 16 at 4:00 in the afternoon, after an attestation from the evangelical clergyman in Birkenau had been presented by B.J.M, stating that from an ecclesiastical standpoint no impediment stands in the way of this marriage, Johann Adam Klohr, citizen and farmer in Lützelsachsen, a widower, 40 years old, and Anna Katharina Sohn, 21 1/2 years old, the legitimate unmarried daughter of Johann Nicholas Sohn, citizen in Reisen, Birkenau parish in the Grand Duchy of Hesse, and his wife Elisabetha, born Bettinger, were married in the church in Lützelsachsen. Witnesses of the marriage were the citizen from Reisen, Johann Adam Sohn and the evangelical school teacher in Lützelsachsen, Philipp Konrad Weiss. Finally, it is mentioned in this matter that both betrothed have recognized as theirs a daughter conceived before the conclusion of the marriage with each other and born July 11, 1826 in Reisen per a document from Hohrnsachsen dated March 10, 1827. This document along with the baptism certificate of the child is stored in the local parish record office.
