  • Notes
    • "Records of the American Catholic Historical Society of Philadelphia, Volume 3" page 322 has the following entry:

Lentzinger, John, of James Lentzinger and his wife M. Salome Kohl, born January 3, 1772; sponsors Nicholas Hucki and his daughter Catharine, for her mother.

Could this record indicate Catherine Kleyss was alive but not well ?

I assumed she came with her father. The port of arrival is also an assumption on my part.

Refers to it as Haycock Catholic Churchyard. St. John the Baptist Catholic is my guess as to exactly what cemetery that is. The church was established in 1747.

Married at Edward McCarty's house by Rev. Theodore Schneyder or Sneider who was a missionary from Goshenhoppen 1741 to 1765.
