In the year of Christ 1827, on April 16 at 4:00 in the afternoon, after an attestation from the evangelical clergyman in Birkenau had been presented by B.J.M, stating that from an ecclesiastical standpoint no impediment stands in the way of this marriage, Johann Adam Klohr, citizen and farmer in Lützelsachsen, a widower, 40 years old, and Anna Katharina Sohn, 21 1/2 years old, the legitimate unmarried daughter of Johann Nicholas Sohn, citizen in Reisen, Birkenau parish in the Grand Duchy of Hesse, and his wife Elisabetha, born Bettinger, were married in the church in Lützelsachsen. Witnesses of the marriage were the citizen from Reisen, Johann Adam Sohn and the evangelical school teacher in Lützelsachsen, Philipp Konrad Weiss. Finally, it is mentioned in this matter that both betrothed have recognized as theirs a daughter conceived before the conclusion of the marriage with each other and born July 11, 1826 in Reisen per a document from Hohrnsachsen dated March 10, 1827. This document along with the baptism certificate of the child is stored in the local parish record office.
