Letter of permission/release: Birkenau, April 13.
In the year of Christ 1827, on April 16 at 4:00 in the afternoon, after an attestation from the evangelical clergyman in Birkenau had been presented by B.J.M, stating that from an ecclesiastical standpoint no impediment stands in the way of this marriage, Johann Adam Klohr, citizen and farmer in Lützelsachsen, a widower, 40 years old, and Anna Katharina Sohn, 21 1/2 years old, the legitimate unmarried daughter of Johann Nicholas Sohn, citizen in Reisen, Birkenau parish in the Grand Duchy of Hesse, and his wife Elisabetha, born Bettinger, were married in the church in Lützelsachsen. Witnesses of the marriage were the citizen from Reisen, Johann Adam Sohn and the evangelical school teacher in Lützelsachsen, Philipp Konrad Weiss. Finally, it is mentioned in this matter that both betrothed have recognized as theirs a daughter conceived before the conclusion of the marriage with each other and born July 11, 1826 in Reisen per a document from Hohrnsachsen dated March 10, 1827. This document along with the baptism certificate of the child is stored in the local parish record office.

Note: the abbreviation "von B. J. M." is nothing but a date: "vom 13ten d[iesen] M[onats]" =(a certificate ... dating) the 13th of this month (=April). The certificate is listed in the left margin as a one of the enclosures/attachments: "Dim. Birkenau d. 13. April""

Dim. Birkenau d. 13. April
Im Jahre Christi ein tausend acht hundert und sieben und zwanzig den sechszehten April nachmittags vier Uhr wurden in der Kirche in Lützelsachsen getraut, nachdem ein Zeugniß des evang. Pfarrers in Birkenau von B. J. M. vorgelegt worden war, enthaltend, daß in kirchlicher Hinsicht dieser Verehlichung nichts im Wege stehe, Johann Adam Klohr, Bürger und Ackersmann in Lützelsachsen, ein Wittwer, 40 Jahre alt, und Anna Katharine Sohn, des Johann Nikolaus Sohn, Bürger zu Reisßen, Pfarrei Birkenau, in Großherzogtum Hessen, und seiner Ehefrau Elisabetha, geborner Bettinger, ehelich ledige Tochter, 21 1/2 Jahre alt. Zeugen der Trauung waren der Bürger von Reißen Johann Adam Sohn und der evang. Schullehrer in Lützelsachsen Philipp Konrad Weiss. Hierbei wird schließlich bemerkt, daß beide Getraute das vor Schließen der Ehe mit einander erzeugte, am 11 Juli 1826 in Reißen geboren Mädchen durch Urkunde d.d. Hohensachsen den 10 März 1827, als das Ihrige anerkannt haben, welche Urkunde sammt dem Taufschein des Kindes in hiesiger Pfarrregistratur aufbewahrt ist.
