  I believe Frederick & Dorothea Schultz took in Theodore Hinzmann as a child. Frederick Schultz is the son of Christopher & Mary Schultz. Theodore's brother Carl and sister Julia are nextdoor in the 1870 census. My best guess is Frederick & Dorothea Schultz were just a young, childless couple kind enough to take in and care for 3 orphans. This also assumed step-mother Dorothea either died as did her husband or she abandoned the children, which I doubt..
