Note: Johannes Wagner was the step-son of Jacob Stoess, step-grandson of Johannes Stoess. But I found no evidence of a Johannes Stoess marrying a Salome. Great Uncle Georg did, but not Johannes. Stepfather Jacob married a Salome. So 'grandfather Johannes' maybe should have been 'father Jacob' or 'great uncle Georg'. This record may indicate step-grandfather Johannes remarried a Salome indicating her was alive 2 Feb 1775, but see no way to know for sure so I did not use this information.

Since both note Henri as Procureur, I have assumed both records are referring to the same person and therefore has assumed Judith Boulleau is the mother of Charlotte Bonenfant.

Saved for reference.

In my 2019 AncestryDNAHelper database a 6.3cm match was found to "matthewcalhoun" that connects to Robert Calhoun and his wife Rhoda Mallett.
Ref: https://www.ancestry.com/family-tree/person/tree/21272236/person/1057138747/facts

This Robert seemed to start in Kentucky and later go to Indiana where he disapears about 1838.James wife Sarah Wilhelm's family seemed floow the same KY to IN path.

As of 7/7/22 only this one DNA kit was found so therefore this information is saved only for reference.
---
Many in ancestry.com have James as the son of Johnson Calhoun (aka Johnson Robert Calhoun or Johnston Calhoun) and Susannah Wilson. I do not believe this is correct.

After extensive research into Johnson Calhoun & Susannah Wilson I noted the following:
- James records state him being born 1813 in Indiana. Johnson Calhoun & Susannah Wilson maried 1811 in York, York, PA and 1820 resided just over the York Co./Adams Co. line in Adams Co. They next appear 1826 in Preble Co. OH and/or Montgomey Co. OH (appear to have been possibly on county line). On adjoining land is John Simonton. In 1837 both the Calhoun and Simonton families move to Wabash Co. IN and again, have land next to each other. So based in this, why would James list his birthplace as IN? In 1813 Johnson Calhoun & Susannah Wilson woule have either been in PA. Other seemingly legit children of Johnson Calhoun & Susannah Wilson note their birthplaces as PA or OH.
- Three Johnson Calhoun & Susannah Wilson daughters married Simonton sons. Another Johnson Calhoun & Susannah Wilson daughter married a Fountain. No DNA links were found to Simonton nor Fountain. The only DNA connections to Johnson Calhoun & Susannah Wilson found were two kits linked to descendants of James and commonality to those kits does nothing to prove a link to Johnson Calhoun & Susannah Wilson.

Based on this I chose to ignore this connection since I believe it is incorrect.

Birth date and location as well as marriage date and location a guess on my part.

Noted for reference only:
The North Farnham Parish records (pg 22, img 19) has a 12 Sep 1680 marriage of a Richard Draper to Elizabeth Man. This could possibly be a relation of some sort but I found not other evidence connecting Richard to Thomas. Many people have assumed Robert is the father of Thomas, and that may very well be true, but I found no evidence of that connection.

As of 9/26/20 this website has an excellent list of court, deed, estate, etc documents involving Thomas Draper.
I only noted documents of note, e.g. the first case found providing a date for the earliest evidence of Thomas Draper in Richmond Co. VA.

This website should be consulted for the other cases.
Web site at http://billdraper.net/html/body_thomas_draper.html
In case the website later disappears, I have saved data for Thomas Draper in \ancestry files\draper directory.

The website noted above notes the following:

7 July 1735 - Thomas Draper’s Will was recorded. (13)

(13) Richmond County Will Book 4; p. 69
William and Mary College Quarterly Historical Magazine Vol 19 Page 273 also mentions a will on the same date.

I could never find a will in any Richmond Co. estate book. I did find an inventory with the same date, but no will. Therefore I can't say for sure if a will esists or not.

Newhaven

In January, 1804, an Act of Assembly was passed establishing the town of Newhaven on the land of Gideon Morgan and William Lewis, and appointing Edwin Nicholas, Asher Waterman, George Huston, George Gilmore, Mathias Amon, Benj. Lewis, Henry Perkey, and Henry J. Gambill as trustees. The site of New Haven is on the north side of the rivers, opposite or a little below Port Republic. It will be observed that the two places had several trustees in common, and their names indicate the importance that was attached to their location upon navigable water. We can readily imagine them upon a "boom" in 1804, and thereabouts, but New Haven seems never to have reached the actual proportions of a town. The name is by this time remembered by only a few persons.

2388 Ruth is always noted as the daughter of Hanson and Nettie in spite of the Hanson and Nettie not being married until 12 Nov 1896 and first wife Rebecca not dying until 26 Mar 1894. In Chales Ecker's obit (son of Hanson and Rebecca) he refers ro Ruth as his half-sister.

Therefore, I think Ruth was born illegitimate as the daughter of Hanson and Nettie while 1st wife Rebecca was still alive.
